You grew up in the province (a place that is very far from the main city), where all you can see are mountains full of green trees. Yet there is no internet connection at all and obviously no internet cafe around! Yet you don't have an idea how computer looks like, how it works and how to use it! Even the school you were studying-in doesn't have any computers and obviously none of those computer lessons offered (LOL).
At the age of 16 you had finished your high school studies, and hence there is no chance for you to go to college due to financial problems, you decided to go to the city after high school graduation, to find a job suited for you. Though it's kinda far from your family, and you might get lonely at times, but you did try, because you don't want to see yourself being stuck at home (at your parents house) doing nothing, or possibly work under the sun again.
And there you've started working, though you have had hard times dealing with people around you, and sometimes their acts affect your personal characteristics which hurts you most of the time. Some other people had put you down, because they really think you're an idiot and stupid, and even you yourself had thought that you were that ignorant, because you grew up in the place where the style of living is so different from the people who were living in that city.
You've made a lot of friends, for almost a year of working in that city, you've meet a lot of people, some are good and some are bad one's. Some had treated you right and some had done you wrong! Sometimes you felt pity for yourself, but you came to realized that it is a part of your journey, a part of your growth and learning! You've learned a lot of things at your young age, and realized that the world isn't that small for you to turn around, you realized that the world is too big and yet there is a lot of things to discover, to understand and to uncover in order for you grow as an individual.
You've learned to socialized yourself with other people and learned to accept them and understand them for whatever personality they had, whether it is disgusting or not. You've learned to broaden your mind and views about people in that city and the people who were living in the place where you was born.
You loosen up your ignorance a bit, and you've start hearing about the wonder of technologies such as computers and the use of it.
And then one of your friend started to tell you about these successful stories from the internet, on how two people meet each other (online) through chatting, and fell in love with each other, that leads them into a successful marriage!
Well you're not one of those long distance relationship believer, and you don't truly believe in an online relationship, so you've got this question in mind on how these individuals made this long distance relationship thing, works?
But you've got curious, and you wanna try, you want to know how it feels like when you're in love with someone, you never had a boyfriend since you were in high school so you gave it a shot. You've start going to the Internet Cafe near at your work place, and asked the Internet Cafe attendant to help you learn how to use the computer. You're just too slow as a turtle as you start typing. You've made a yahoo account and had yourself entered the yahoo chat rooms by the help of the Internet Cafe attendant. And there you've start chatting with people from different countries.
As you opened your webcam, you've got tons of Instant messages saying "I LOVE YOU'S" from several men in the chat rooms, and funny as it seems, since you were still an ignorant when it comes to chatting, you've replied to all of them with these 4 magical words "I LOVE YOU TOO" realizing how beautiful you are in their eyes! (ahahaha)
You've enjoyed chatting with people (online) and enjoyed the words you've heard from them, such as "I LOVE YOU'S', "I LOVE YOU BABY' "I LOVE YOU HONEY". You felt like they'd showered you with so much endearment (LOL) yes you are that fool....getting addicted with an internet world.
You keep on coming back, though there are times that you feel frustrated because it seems that you're just wasting money paying those multiple hours, talking with strangers online. But you're eager to find love and to fall in love, so you've tried hard, until you meet this nice guy. who won't even show himself on cam. Though he's comfortable to talk with, he's been so respectful to you, and his name is as sweet as honey-bee, you've tried to put your focus on him, because you really think that he's the one for you! (LOL)
He became your online lover, or let me say a long distance boyfriend. You keep on changing emails with each other and everytime you open your mail box you've got this big big smile on your face and got flattered with the sweet poems he's been sending to you.and those love letters.
There are times that you can't sleep at night because you keep on thinking of him, (even though you haven't seen his face on cam yet). Yes you were that crazy in love, you're day would be incomplete without talking to him, you don't mind even if it cost you a little money just only to communicate with him. You've invested two years of loving him, and sometimes you cry if he can't get online to have a little conversation with you. But somehow you understand that he can be busy at times due to his job. So you've tried to understand and stay faithful to him.
Your relationship became more deeper and deeper, both of you talked about meeting up and marriage. You can't explain the happiness that you felt inside, and can't wait for that day when you're to walk in the aisle wearing that long white gown.
You love him that much, but you still got this question in mind, if he is really going to meet you for real, just try to imagine, you have not seen him on cam yet, you don't have any idea on how he really looks like and you've even invested 2 years of loving him, you've been true to your feelings for him.
You've tried to asked him again, if he could show himself on cam for you, but he said: that he doesn't have any cam at home (the same excuse as he did before). You told him that if he really loves you, he'll buy one for you
so you can see him, but he refused again. So you've start doubting, he sounds like unrealistic to you, you were thinking that, out of 2 years of being in a relationship with him he could not even show himself to you on cam, even at once?.
Then one day, you've found out that he's an Indian guy using an american name, and the reason why he can't show himself on cam is that because He is not what he tells you he is! And you've invested more two years of loving him??
And the moral of the story is:
First, not all you've meet (online) or in the internet are real, or using their real identities, so you should always be careful of communicating and trusting someone you've meet online. Because even if you have seen them on cam or even those who showed or who are willing to show themselves on cam could possibly pretend to be someone they're not so there is no assurance at all.
Second, don't let yourself fall in love with someone (you've meet online) that easy. Take your time in getting to know that person first, if you're into Online dating, or if you're one of those individuals who joined or a member of a dating site to find love.
Make sure that he is not using someone else's identity, and that he is honest with what he's been telling you. so your time won't be wasted..... specially when you're just using an Internet Cafe to communicate with him.
Don't rush into things right way, be patient, and always ask God to guide you while you're in your journey searching for that one special person (Online).
